Wedding Locations in the Palatinate – Presented by Arvid Ellenberger, Wedding Photographer
Hello, I am Arvid and have been working as a wedding photographer in the Palatinate for over 15 years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of getting to know numerous wedding locations and venues along the German Wine Route – from wineries to castles and fortresses, as well as free ceremonies in the vineyards.
In the process, I realized how difficult it is for many couples to find a suitable place to get married in the Palatinate. For this reason, I created this site: as a guide for couples who want to get married in this beautiful region and want to get an impression of the various locations.
Here you will find a selection of wedding locations and venues in the Palatinate, gathered from my practical experience and many weddings I have accompanied. Perhaps this overview will help you in your planning – and maybe our paths will cross.
Best regards
Arvid

Why get married in the Palatinate?
The Palatinate is one of Germany's most beautiful wine regions and offers couples a unique variety of wedding venues. Along the German Wine Route, picturesque wine villages line up, each with their very own special charms.
From romantic wineries with centuries-old traditions through historic castles and palaces to modern event locations - the Palatinate leaves nothing to be desired. The mild climate provides optimal conditions for outdoor ceremonies, while the excellent gastronomy and world-famous wines ensure unforgettable celebrations.
The German Wine Route
The German Wine Route extends over 85 kilometers from Schweigen-Rechtenbach at the French border to Bockenheim. It is Germany’s first tourist wine route and leads through one of the most beautiful cultural landscapes in Europe.
Along this route, couples find countless possibilities for their dream wedding: from the southern Palatinate with its Mediterranean influences over the Mittelhaardt with its top-quality wines to the northern Palatinate with its historic towns and castles.
